Governor Vacancies

We currently have vacancies for 2 co-opted Governors and 2 Parent Governors.

A co-opted governor is a person appointed by the governing body and who, in the opinion of the
governing body, has the skills required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school. As a co-opted governor, you may have an area of specialist knowledge or experience or bring a wide range of skills and experience to your role as a governor. You do not need to be the parent of a child at school although this doesn't matter if your skills set compliments the needs of the governing body.

We are always seeking skilled and motivated volunteers who are committed to improving education and making a positive difference to children’s futures.

At Rednal, School Governors are the most important volunteer workforce we have. It’s a rewarding role that provides an excellent opportunity for personal development in a unique environment.

Governors are able to develop many skills and experience, such as:

  • project management
  • recruitment and selection
  • budget control
  • data analysis
  • board-level strategic leadership
  • working as part of a senior team.
